This Privacy Policy explains how Giuseppe Lisanti (“we”, “us”) handles information in the Time to Sub app (the “App”).

1. Summary

The App works offline-first. The subscriptions you track stay on your device. There is no account to create and no bank connection. The free version shows ads (Google AdMob) and we use Firebase for crash reports and usage analytics; Pro removes the ads. We do not sell your personal data and we do not receive your subscription list.

2. Data you enter

You may enter subscription names, amounts, currencies, billing frequency, renewal and free-trial dates, categories, notes, and preferences such as your main currency and the day your month starts. This data is stored only on your device, and is included in your device backups according to your Apple settings (for example iCloud Backup).

3. Time to Payday

If you also use our app Time to Payday on the same device, the two apps may exchange data through a shared on-device container (an Apple “App Group”) — for example, so Time to Payday can include your subscriptions in your paycheck budget. This exchange happens locally on your device; nothing is sent to us.

4. Service catalog

To keep the list of common services up to date, the App downloads a public catalog file from our server, hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. The request contains no information about your subscriptions. As with any web request, the hosting provider receives technical data such as your IP address and app request headers, which it may log for security and operation.

5. Purchases and entitlements

If you buy a subscription or lifetime unlock, payment is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases and manage access to Pro. RevenueCat processes an anonymous app user identifier, purchase and subscription status, and related technical data (such as app version and device type), as described in its own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment card details.

6. Advertising (free version)

If you use the free version, the App shows banner ads via Google AdMob (and related Google Mobile Ads / User Messaging Platform tools). These services may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), coarse location or an IP-derived region, and interaction data to serve and measure ads. Where required (for example GDPR/EEA/UK) we ask for your consent first, and on iOS the App asks permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt; tracking is optional and you can refuse or change your choice at any time (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and the privacy options in the App’s Settings). Users with an active Pro entitlement do not see ads.

7. Analytics and diagnostics

We use Firebase / Google services (Analytics, Crashlytics and Remote Config) to measure how the App is used, fix crashes and configure features. They may collect app version, device model, operating system, crash logs, an app-instance identifier and interaction events such as screens viewed. We never send the subscriptions you enter. Where consent is required, we request it before enabling ads-related processing.

8. Notifications

Renewal and free-trial reminders, where available, are local notifications scheduled on your device. They do not pass through our servers.

9. Support

If you contact support by email, we receive your email address, your message, and any diagnostics you choose to include (such as app version and device model). We use them only to answer you.

10. Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we process data to provide the App you requested (purchases, catalog download, support), for our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and working (crash diagnosis, analytics), and, where required, on your consent (ads and tracking). You may withdraw consent from system settings or in the App’s privacy options.

11. Retention

Data you enter remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App (subject to your device backups). Support emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request. Purchase, advertising and analytics records held by Apple, RevenueCat or Google follow those providers’ retention policies.

12. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Data stored on your device can be edited or deleted in the App or by deleting the App. For requests about purchase data, contact us and we will help route the request to Apple or RevenueCat.

14. International transfers

Apple, Google (including AdMob and Firebase), and RevenueCat may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied by those providers.

15. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
